Co Michelin hodnotí

Zásadní rozdíl proti bodům u vína: michelinské hrozny se udělují panství jako celku, ne jednotlivému vínu ani ročníku. V tom mají blíž ke klasifikaci než k hodnocení kritika.

Průvodce uvádí pět kritérií:

• vinohrad a agronomie — práce na vinici,
• technické zvládnutí výroby — řemeslo ve sklepě,
• identita a sense of place — jestli je ve víně poznat místo, odkud pochází,
• vyváženost,
• konzistence napříč ročníky — schopnost udržet úroveň i v obtížném roce.

Zařazení má tři stupně — jeden, dva nebo tři hrozny — a k nim výběr bez hroznu, který průvodce označuje jako „Selected“; na našich stránkách jej uvádíme jako ve výběru. Vydání ze září 2026 zahrnuje 83 panství.

Kolik z nich známe z vlastní degustace

Ze 83 oceněných panství máme vlastní zápisek u 44. U zbývajících buď jejich vína zatím nedegustujeme, nebo je v naší databázi vedeme bez zápisku — a v takovém případě u nich žádné hodnocení nenajdete. Platí u nás jednoduché pravidlo: nepublikujeme skóre vína, které jsme sami neochutnali.

Proč to není naše hodnocení

Michelinský stupeň a naše skóre měří dvě různé věci a nedají se zaměnit:

• Michelin hodnotí panství napříč ročníky. Vypovídá o tom, jak se na daném château dlouhodobě pracuje.
• Naše skóre hodnotí konkrétní víno konkrétního ročníku, ochutnané u sudu nebo z lahve. Vypovídá o tom, jaké to víno bylo v ten den, v té sklenici.

Rozdíl není teoretický. Panství se stejným michelinským zařazením u nás běžně dostávají velmi rozdílné známky: mezi château s jedním hroznem se v ročníku 2024 naše skóre pohybovala od 83,5 do 95 bodů — rozptyl 11,5 bodu uvnitř jediného stupně, u vín hodnocených týmž degustátorem v témže ročníku.

Proto michelinské hrozny nezapočítáváme do našich skóre, do žebříčků ani do řazení vín. Jsou uvedené jako samostatný fakt o panství, s rokem vydání a s uvedením vydavatele, stejně jako klasifikace z roku 1855 nebo zařazení mezi Cru Bourgeois.

Jak údaj čteme a aktualizujeme

Na kartě château se zařazení zobrazuje s rokem vydání — například „3 hrozny · 2026“ nebo „Ve výběru · 2026“. Rok je součástí údaje záměrně: Michelin výběr obnovuje a starší vydání tím zůstane rozlišitelné od novějšího.

Údaj přebíráme tak, jak jej průvodce zveřejnil, a neinterpretujeme ho. Michelinský symbol hroznu nereprodukujeme — jde o ochrannou známku vydavatele; zařazení uvádíme slovy.

What Michelin rates

The key difference from a score given to a wine: Michelin Grapes are awarded to the estate as a whole, not to an individual wine or vintage. That places them closer to a classification than to a critic’s score.

The guide states five criteria:

• viticulture and agronomy — the work in the vineyard,
• technical mastery — the craft in the cellar,
• identity and sense of place — whether the wine shows where it comes from,
• balance,
• consistency across vintages — holding the level even in a difficult year.

There are three tiers — one, two or three grapes — plus a selection without a grape, which the guide labels “Selected”. The September 2026 release covers 83 estates.

How many of them we know first-hand

The chart is wider than the screen — scroll sideways.

Of the 83 rated estates we have our own note for 44. For the rest we either do not taste their wines yet, or we hold them in our database without a note — and in that case you will find no rating from us at all. Our rule is simple: we do not publish a score for a wine we have not tasted ourselves.

Why this is not our rating

A Michelin tier and our score measure two different things and cannot be swapped:

• Michelin rates the estate across vintages. It says something about how a château works over the long run.
• Our score rates one wine of one vintage, tasted at the barrel or from the bottle. It says what that wine was like on that day, in that glass.

The difference is not theoretical. Estates on the same Michelin tier routinely get very different marks from us: among one-grape châteaux our 2024 scores ranged from 83.5 to 95 points — a spread of 11.5 points within a single tier, across wines rated by the same taster in the same vintage.

That is why Michelin Grapes do not enter our scores, rankings or the ordering of wines. They appear as a separate fact about the estate, with the year of release and the publisher named, in the same way as the 1855 classification or Cru Bourgeois status.

How we read and update it

On a château page the tier is shown with its year — for example “3 grapes · 2026” or “Selected · 2026”. The year is part of the data on purpose: Michelin refreshes the selection, and an older release stays distinguishable from a newer one.

We reproduce the tier as the guide published it and do not interpret it. We do not reproduce the Michelin grape symbol — it is the publisher’s trademark; we state the tier in words.
